A New Yoga Studio—Right in Your Own Backyard

Your boss wants that report done yesterday; you need to hurry up and get home to make dinner for your family; your child is pleading to play one more video game instead of doing his homework. Stress provoking situations are everywhere.

I was struck by a statistic reporting that 75 percent of Americans feel stressed out at least once every two weeks (National Health Interview Survey). Half of those experience moderate or high levels of stress during the same two-week period.

Thankfully, we don’t need to let stress get the best of us. Yoga, for instance, has been found to be one of the best remedies for stress.

At Back-N-Touch Wellness Center (BNTWC), we began offering a full schedule of yoga and pilates classes this past February. Classes are offered in our newly refurbished space—which we designed to be relaxing and healing environment where you can tune out the rest of your day’s distractions.

According to the Mayo Clinic website, yoga helps participants to de-stress by drawing their focus away from their busy, chaotic day and toward calm as they move their body through poses that require concentration. Other benefits include stress reduction, increased fitness, management of chronic health conditions, reduction in heart rate and blood pressure, and weight loss.

Getting your workout in need not cause you stress. Here’s what you’ll find at BNTWC:

1. A yoga studio closeby—right on Walton Street in Fitchburg. Plenty of parking in the back!

2. All different levels are offered: from chair and beginner yoga, to more strenuous forms like Ashtanga yoga and pilates. The schedule is available on the Back-N-Touch website.

3. Don’t know what’s right for you? Call us and we’ll help to determine the right class for your physical abilities and fitness level.

4. Class sizes are limited to 12, so your class will never be too big.

5. Classes are offered during the day and evening, and a pilates class is offered on Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m.

Pre-registration is required so we can match you up with the right class for you. So reserve your space. Call (978) 343-4901.

First class is free!

Namaste!
